"This Is The Mood (I'm In)" was written and recorded by me in 1985.
It was a track on my first demo album called "UVL - Ultra Violent Light". The song was my take on (and tribute to) "Waves" by 80's synth duo "Blancmange" (Neil Arthur and Stephen Luscombe) - one of my favourite bands in the 80s.
This is the original version played and sung live in 1985 at home with overdubs (bouncing tracks between two cassette recorders). It has been transferred directly from the original chrome cassette tape with no effects, no cleaning up or any other treatment. As such, it sounds rough and hissy, so please note that the sound quality isn't great (the recording is nearly 40 years old!)
Instruments used: Casio MT31, Jen SX1000, Kay Memory Rhythm Drum Machine, and cheap headset mic. ***I'm putting this out there temporarily for nostalgia*** before I clean up the tapes!
