Description

God instructs Ezekiel to be a watchman for the people of Israel. This role was known in the day. Yet, in this command, the watch is not for an enemy army coming to overtake the land, but for the spiritual degradation and sin the lives of his countrymen. Perhaps the most poignant part of the instruction is when God tells Ezekiel that if he sees sin, but does not warn the people, he will be held accountable for that. This translates to current day for all believers and we must take this to heart.
