How appropriate on the day after white supremacists sinfully claimed racial superiority through protesting in Virginia, our systematic study through the Gospel of Matthew led us to Matthew 15 and Jesus' encounter with the Canaanite woman. Our Lord is a righteous and merciful God. who sent his Son, Jesus Christ as redemption for the image bearers who surrender to his Lordship through repentance. This passage reminds us that all are in need of mercy and grace and that is made available through Jesus Christ, through faith.
