When the rich man died and went to Hades, he looked across the chasm before him to see Lazarus, the poor beggar that slept outside his home standing in the arms of Abraham. This story of heaven and hell is profound and one that most people do not like to address. With almost 80 percent of Americans believing in heaven and only 45 percent believing in hell, it is clear that the concept of a literal hell is something most want to avoid.
