Description

We had Eiko Yamamoto (Episode 120) on back in July of 2019. She was doing Hello Dolly and Eureka Day. Since then, she’s done Working, The Book of Will, Twelfth Night and has worked with a variety of companies, including SF Playhouse, Silicon Valley Shakes, African American Shakes, The Pear Theatre, PianoFight and many, many more. Eiko will be in Steel Magnolias at the Sierra Repertory Theatre. We’ll talk about how her career has grown since our last meeting, how COVID-19 has affected her and things are doing with her at home with her partner and her son. We also have a very engaging conversation about cultural appropriation in theatre, the Emmitt Till Opera controversy and the ugly rise of Anti-Asian hate.
