On this episode of the Yay, Norman and I talk to Paige Rogers, the director of Uncle Vanya, which will open at the Cutting Ball Theater (at the Exit at Taylor) on September 21st. Norman, Paige and I also have a very special conversation about alcoholism - the importance of being honest, addressing the issue, and breaking familiar patterns in order to get well. Paige shares her life story, how she got into theater, how Cutting Ball Theater came to be, and the powerful story of Anton Chekhov's powerful story.

I recently donated to Unidos Por Puerto Rico. As many of you know, the crisis in Puerto Rico is still very dire and our current president doesn't seem to care. But I care, and I hope you do too. I donated $50 to this cause and I hope you consider donating too.
