In this episode, hosts Katherine Cody, Psy.D. and Becca Lory, CAS, BCCS welcome guest Grace Myhill, MSW. Grace specializes in working with neurodiverse couples in which one partner has Asperger’s, and understands the unique strengths and challenges that come with these relationships. She offers neurodiverse couples coaching and various support groups — focusing on communication, intimacy, and understanding each other’s perspectives — with the goal of skill-building, problem-solving, and establishing a common language of connection. She also offers in-person assessments for Asperger’s/Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is also the Director of both The Peter M. Friedman Neurodiverse Couples Institute and of Couples/Partner Services at the Asperger/Autism Network (AANE). The three discuss the common challenges presented in neurodiverse relationships, explore Grace’s methods for helping her clients, and look at Becca’s experience as a woman on the autism spectrum in a relationship with a neurotypical.
