Description

Good Friday is a day of remembrance and consideration. A day to reflect on what Jesus chose to do for us on the cross.

00 Today I want to approach GOOD FRIDAY from a theological perspective that will bring a fresh understanding of what Jesus did for us.
26 Here is a fresh perspective of what Jesus has done for you…
44 BIG IDEA: Today, Jesus is our high priest and He gave a sacrifice, himself, once and for all to satisfy and appease the wrath of God and made a way for forgiveness, compassion and access to eternity with Him.
20 Where are we at in the timeline of our story…
54 False trial and scourging…
44 And by this afternoon, Jesus would have breathed his last breath with IT IS FINISHED and died.
25 This is what happened in the physical realm… but what happened in the supernatural realm?
47 Hebrews 2:10-11, 14-18
30 Notice what the author calls Jesus…
36 The High Priest had to be human!
50 Why? So He could relate to us and ultimately have compassion on us.
05 He experienced temptations, thoughts, feelings, attractions…
30 Our great High Priest understands what you’re going through.
50 Hebrew 2:18
47 The High Priest was the only one who could offer sacrifices for the sins of the people. He was the only one who could enter the most holy place.
15 In the tabernacle of Moses, on the day of ATONEMENT the priest would go into the most holy place on behalf of the people in order to make a sacrifice for this sin.
13 On the day of atonement…
13 A transfer of the sins onto the goat.
00 Only the High Priest could enter the most holy place.
20 Hebrews 9:11-12
50 Jesus intercedes on our behalf.
32 What is this saying to us?
30 The sins of the people were placed on his back…
53 Hebrews 2:14-16
20 Jesus took back the keys of sin and death!
37 2 Timothy 1:10
50 Revelations 1:18
11 Jesus died, but went to the place of hell and broke the power of death! When Jesus fulfilled His High Priestly duties…. he shouted!
50 Jesus paid the final sacrifice.
46 Communion
