"Sometimes it takes a while for us to be tended in such a way that we break through all that was burying us in distraction, shame, guilt, and fear. Peter and I needed three petitions to be reminded that we were worthy of love, sometimes it takes a lot more.
It takes a while to break loose and grow into the light of resurrection.
Perhaps as we shake off the dust of that which had buried our lives, and realize that God was speaking words of grace again and again—as many times as we need to be able to rise in hope—we’ll come to the realization that we were not buried… We were planted."
