Welcome to the 100th episode of the Best Friend Weekend Podcast! We would like to thank each and every one of you who has listened and enjoyed our work over the past two years and contributed in any way… You provide the energy that keeps us going! Aldo NICE, Rog Smuve, and C.A.P. aka Los (and his bad mic) got together once again to recap the week that was and reminisce. Rumble Williams got us started with his realization that sometimes you outgrow your small town beginnings (01:00) which led to some interesting discussions before Aldo let us know how Houstonians Burned His Boudin this week (09:00). Taking many questions from our listeners, we began by discussing things we may regret or would take back from previous episodes (12:00) before discussing some things happening in Houston schools; assistant principals putting markers in kids hair (20:00), principals giving parents a dress code (27:00) and bullying (42:00). After running down Russell Wilson’s inflammatory remarks (53:00), we got to talk about Jay-Z’s cameos on Netflix’s Homecoming (1:03:00) before two of our favorite musicians, The Uncle (1:06:00) and L’Daialogue (1:13:00) provided some fun nostalgic moments. Aldo had Nothin’ NICE to Say about double standards in assaults (1:18:00) as we wrapped up the podcast with Dre Hype (1:24:00), Mile High (1:30:00), and Rumble (1:33:00) chiming in with encouraging words about to the future of the BFW movement.
