Global equity markets fared poorly, with losses in Asia followed by a 3.3% fall in the Eurostoxx 50 and a 2.1% fall in the S&P500. US bond yields are also lower. At play are concerns about the US economy. Disappointing private payrolls and auto sales data came on the heels of the yesterday’s weak manufacturing data.
