In 2020, Magnitech was ranked #48 on the Channel Futures MSP 501. Also in 2020, Tim was awarded with the "Four Under 40" award by the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce.
When he founded Magnitech in 2010, to quote one of his early business coaches, "he was just a kid with a computer." Although he already considered himself a good technician, he had no idea how to run a business. He had to learn to put his ego aside and allow himself to be taught and realize he didn't always have the answer. He has had several mentors and coaches along the way, and he would even go as far as picking the brains of his clients who have forgotten a lot more about business than he know.
Although he ultimately makes key decisions for the company he founded, he has learned to empower his colleagues to give their opinion when asked in order to help him make the right decision that's best for both Magnitech and the client. The forces need to be aligned. He has also continued to surround himself with talented professionals who have expertise greater than him. It's the beauty of SCALE, and it pays dividends when the machine is working. It's such a thing of beauty.
The most important thing he can do is build my team to be stronger than him. Believe strongly in what you do. Strive to make a positive impact every day, and make our clients better by using technology as the vehicle to move their business forward.
