We begin with a roundup of some recent signings as the Toronto Defiant, Vancouver Titans, and Boston Uprising all pick up promising Contenders players. We discuss the roles that each new player will be filling, as well as their immediate impact in the May Melee tourney. Then, there's action with the Washington Justice as the let go of GM Bawlynn and Assistant Coach Bani in a rather cold fashion that frustated many in the OWL community. We discuss possible reasons for the exit, the state of the Justice, and career prospects for both staff members. We also look at what may be coming for future Justice rosters as the team promotes Pre to GM and signs Jjanu to a long term contract.
Next, we break down all 36 hours of the May Melee tournament. We go through each bracket, highlighting key moments, notable player performances, and best matchups for reviewing. We spend time specifically discussing incredible runs from the Florida Mayhem and Shanghai Dragons, 2 teams who we've seen completely transform since their struggles in Season 1. We also break down both of the finals matches as the Shock retain first place and the Dragons put on an incredible 4 map comeback vs the Seoul Dynasty.
Lastly, we break down some news regarding the next couple of weeks for the League, as OWL takes a 2 week break. We look at the announcement for the June tournament, as well as some awesome non-league competition, including Contenders finals broadcast on the OWL Youtube channel and the coming showmatch between Lunatic Hai and Runaway.
