04:37 – MARVEL’s rumor machine is on overdrive with some saying that David Tennant would be playing Nightmare in the next DOCTOR STRANGE and whispers spreading that Christian Bale would appear as Beta Ray Bill in THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER. What’s true and what’s fanboy fantasy?
07:58 – Brian has a comic book recommendation for Mandy: Insight Comic’s BOWIE: STARDUST, RAYGUNS, & MOONAGE DAYDREAMS is coming out! The graphic novel portrays David Bowie as an alien rock star and chronicles the end of Ziggy Stardust in a quirky movie format.
10:04 – BBC’s DRACULA is out and we have thoughts. Mandy thinks that the writers’ involvement foretold the twist in the story, while Brian revels in the subversive, meta elements of the new series.
18:32 – And finally, we come to DOCTOR WHO: SPYFALL Parts 1 & 2. It’s as if the creators of the show wanted to address all deficiencies of the first season in this one. We discuss how the new Doctor is made more interesting as she faces conflicts that stumps her, and who The Master truly is. Mandy has a theory!
