Originally from Wellington, New Zealand, Conviction Roots began with an interest in Asian Underground and Drum n Bass, which naturally led him to Reggae.
The Roots Foundation sessions in Wellington left a lasting impression on him and sowed the seed for what was to come. After moving to the UK and hearing Reggae played on a heavyweight sound system for the first time, it became his main musical focus.
A lover of all styles from Ska through to Steppas, with a first love of 70s Roots from the golden era, Conviction Roots believes there is room for everyone in Reggae.
