The full moon illuminated the night as the crisp March air brimmed with excitement and anticipation. Our dusty desert family reunited for the first gathering of the year, ready to release and transmute built-up energies through the power of dance. To amplify this ritual experience, I debuted my first-ever psy-trance set. My nerves were high, but as the music pulsed through the night, the energy of the foot stompers, fire spinners, and speaker freakers flowed back to me. This may have been the most energy I’ve ever received from a crowd, reflecting the high-speed tempos and ecstatic energy of the music.
