Jeremy Swift is one of the UK’s finest character actors, with roles in The Smoking Room, The Durrells, Gosford Park and the forthcoming Mary Poppins sequel, currently in production, as well as a host of other work on stage and screen.
However, he is probably best known as Septimus Spratt, the long suffering butler of Lady Grantham (Dame Maggie Smith), in the internationally successful Downton Abbey.
