The Edinburgh Fringe is the world's largest arts festival, which spans 25 days and features over 50,000 performances of approximately 3,500/4000 shows and events in 300+ venues. It was established in 1947 as an alternative to the Edinburgh International Festival. The Fringe takes place annually in the month of August.
In one of our most ambitious and feature length projects to date, SNS Online sets sail to Scotland's beautiful capital city, to help celebrate the 70th birthday of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and to cover as many shows as is physically possible to do in a 6 day turnaround! And with only 2 days post production in order to deliver this bumper packed, 2 part show to festival goers and friends alike, we have worked around the clock to produce the best possible Fringe guide for 2017. With well over 40 interviews with performers, crew and public alike, The Fringe At 70 is your one stop, all you can eat, comprehensive Fringe Shop to all things...Fringeloopy! And for this cultural journey, Nick Randell is joined by the legend that is Andy, 'the man of a dozen voices', who some of you may remember from our broadcasting salad days on Irish national, RTÉ.
So join us for a veritable 'solar system of stars', as we feed our cultural souls - and have more than a few laughs on the way!
