Nic, Shayne, Michael and I debate whether or not the Birdman soundtrack was impressive or not.
Do you think the movie Birdman had an impressive soundtrack?
Because the jury is out: Michael, Shayne, and Nic disagree with me. 1 drummer improvising to every scene is not as impressive as most film soundtracks. Sure, he’s a talented drummer, but the flexibility would make editing and composing soooooo much easier than it would be normally.
All musicians who compose and perform soundtracks are good musicians. Most films have 100 musicians, this film only has 1.
Does it work for the film? Yes. Is it good for branding and marketing? Yes.
BUT is wayyyyy easier than the alternative that every other film uses? Yes.
So does that make it impressive to me? No.
