Description

During their first episode of The Friends Season, Addoley and Anna are wishing they could have recorded from The Real Show at CAC Brétigny, but instead are recording from under desks in Tulsa and Stavanger. Having been invited to an exhibition that deals with questions of popularity and populism, they decide to invite friends of the podcast or friends of either Addoley or Anna. Addoley and Anna discuss the time in their lives that they connect the most with the idea of “popularity” and how the art world is connected to it.

Addoley and Anna introduce their cast of art-friends who are joining in advice-giving for The Friends Season—Kahlil Robert Irving, Kiyoshi Yamamoto, Erik Sæter Jørgensen, Anne-Liis Kogan, Lyndon Barrois Jr., and Espen Birkedal—and invite them to talk about their teenage selves.

The questions Addoley and Anna received for The Friends Season are divided into single episodes focusing on work, love, and home.
