Would you take a 12 week course on happiness for college credit? That is just what is happening at the University of Bristol following a call for more awareness of mental health issues.

The university dealt with several suicides over the course of three years and decided it was time to take action. The move follows Yale University's Psychology and Good life classes. These classes have been said to be life-changing.

Students are asked to select one of seven happiness exercises each week and access the effect. The exercises include: sleeping more, meditation, savoring moments, gratitude, and random acts of kindness.

"When you commit to making yourself happier, when you put these practices into place, it can really change your life," Professor Santos said.
