Thanks for tuning into Episode 74 of Tellemtiptoldyou—"A New Definition of Family.” A couple of stories in the news made me think more deeply about how abusers often groom their victims so that the victim is less likely to seek prosecution and justice.
I think such grooming happens not only by the predator, but also by the seemingly “innocent” folks and practices that continue to silence victims through their own actions and behaviors. In this episode, I tell a bit of my own story and how it has made me reflect on how we define family.
Specifically, I propose a new definition of family that I think more of us should be using. I’d love to hear what you think.
