I’M LUCKY

I was never what you’d call lucky
but I always walked away
To many people I am only a flunky
but I made it anyway
I won’t apologize for my blind luck
They got plenty but it was never enough
I’m as lucky as the man in the moon
Staring down on earth all day
I don’t look that far behind
I already seen it any way
I never really believed in good or bad luck
It’s just there for some dumb schmuck
Crossing my fingers
rabbit foot in pocket
I trust my lucky numbers
and pick four leaf clover
I’ll keep making my own good luck
because I just can’t wait around
I’ve been waiting for good luck to find me
but it never comes around
I won’t concede that the game is over
as long as I can walk away
