Duncan Pritchard is a professor of philosophy. He is currently at the University of California Davis as Chancellor's Professor of Philosophy but has held Chairs in Philosophy at the Universities of Edinburgh and Stirling, Scotland. He has studied the problem of skepticism, the rationality of religious belief but his main area of focus is epistemology which is the theory of knowledge, especially with regard to its methods, validity, and scope.
