Maurel Nichols, also known as Catt Daddy, is from York, South Carolina, just 25 miles outside Charlotte. Catt Daddy started getting serious about his music around 2013. He has been involved in music since he was about 16 years old participating in Gospel productions and learning to play drums and keyboard.
He was inspired by Hip-Hop artists like Heavy-D, Run-DMC, Fat Boys, Dana Dane, Slick Rick, NAS, Outkast, Biggie, and 2Pac. He is currently working on his Southern Soul releases with Crown Town Records.
