Growing up with his dad's record collection and his uncle being the biggest DJ on the radio in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, along with two uncles in an R&B band, he was destined to pursue music. He idolized Michael Jackson, James Brown, Prince, and New Edition, and would often mimic their moves. With his high energy on stage, it's clear that he's a culmination of all those great performers rolled into one.
