Rootstar, aka Mo’ B Southern Soul Recording Artist, has had many ups and downs, wins and losses, and many instances that would make the ill-fated turnarounds. Time hasn’t slowed me; changing styles has not discouraged me. I’m still here producing sweet sounds in my studio. Rootstar – formerly known as Mo’B – is a versatile singer-songwriter with a relentless passion for music. Like many children growing up, he was a Jackson 5 fan who would sing along on the back porch with a pinecone as his microphone. As he approached his teenage years, he discovered singing music would get him, girls. So after high school, Rootstar released his first single “What You See is What You Get” on a label in Memphis, Tennessee. Overall, Rootstar is just a country boy on a journey to sing the songs that people feel but cannot express; provide laughter when people are trying to mend a broken heart or confused mind; and be an influential time traveler, storyteller to fans and listeners for many years to come.
