As a singer, he draws inspiration from a variety of artists, ranging from retro musicians like Sam Cooke, Johnny Taylor, and Ronald Isley to contemporary artists such as Ginuwine and Dru Hill. Mario's voice is powerful and soulful, blending old-school riffs and runs with modern lyrics and themes. He is also a talented songwriter and has had the pleasure of collaborating with Woody from the group Dru Hill and Steven Russell.
