Willie Rich was born and raised in Memphis, Tennesse by his mother who loved Gospel music, and his father who loved the blues. During his teenage years in the 90s, he was into RnB and Hip Hop. However, during his time at Tuskegee University, he was exposed to African American choral music and Jazz through the Golden Voice program. Now, as a composer, musician, singer, and songwriter, Willie Rich's passion lies in Southern Soul music.
