DJ GOGY (https://soundcloud.com/djgogy) describes himself through electrical signals and signal theory as a way to merge emotion and nature into resonant soundscapes. DJ GOGY is an Egyptian DJ, Producer, and Electrical Engineer born in the UAE and now based in Egypt. The 40th FLOOR showcases DJ GOGY’s unique techno sound through a North African and Middle Eastern lens and style. GOGY’s journey with music began early on, playing at the Panorama Cafe behind Pyramid Desert and gravitating toward the energy of electronic music and clubs. GOGY’s love of music led him to further refine his engineering skill, finding that Sound Engineering commonly shares the basic wave, electrical signal, math and programming he already mastered in Electrical Engineering. This allowed GOGY to master music theory, production, mixing and mastering. DJ GOGY is currently building a small home studio to work on his new album.
