What do Nike, San Francisco 49'ers and CNN have in common - now they all care about equality and minority welfare. If a tree falls in a forest and there's no CNN camera to film it, does it make a sound?

Virtue signalling in a time of crisis and being "on trend". How emotive reactions mean nothing without long term processes to redress racial and social inequality. When Liverpool, Chelsea and other bastions of the fight against racism follow the latest trend, is it a solution or part of the problem?

And athletes taking a stand, how sports is a natural forum to begin a discussion on racial and social coming together.
