For more than 200 years the America Bible Society mission is making the Bible available to every person in a language and format each can understand and afford, so all people may experience its life-changing message. Executive Director David Isias shares how their tradition and commitment to fulfilling that goal continues today. The work began May 11, 1816 and has been endorsed in its time by Francis Scott Key, John Jay, (first Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court and second Chairman of the ABS) and President Theodore Roosevelt.
