Kaitrin Valencia, Executive Director of A Way Out discusses her passion to rescue and restore those trapped in human trafficking. Kaitrin formerly served as Legal Advocate, Deputy Chief, and the Faith Based Coordinator in the Cook County Juvenile Court in Chicago. She quickly learned that the juvenile justice program for girls needed more than a band-aid to stop the revolving door of recidivism. Moving to Memphis she connected with A Way Out’s purpose to rescue and restore those trapped in human trafficking and knew this was exactly the place she wanted to be.
