Awkward Moments is London-based electronica duo producer, DJ & composer Mimi Xu, and multi-instrumentalist MAGUIRE. The audio-visual live act premiered their debut LP ‘An Entropic Cycle’ at Houghton Festival, and released the album – a sonic journey through ambient, experimental and electronica – in March 2020. The duo are set to release a remix EP of tracks from the album in October 2020, featuring remixes from Ghost Culture and Fabric resident Bobby. This new monthly radio show for OpenLab – ‘An Entropic Hour’ – is a melting pot of musical influences and disciplines merging IDM, electronica, ambient, jazz, afrobeat, and techno, that sees Xu and MAGUIRE improvise over and remix each track to create a unique intimate rave.
