Open since 2010 and located in the heart of the Raval neighborhood in Barcelona, Discos Paradiso is one of the top record stores in Europe and has become a meeting point for record labels, collectives, DJs and producers of the city’s music scene and artists from all over the world. Their new monthly OpenLab show, 'Another Day in Paradise', is set to be a reflection of Discos Paradiso's unique spirit, the lifestyle and the way of understanding musical culture that promotes, through a wide range of music selections conducted by artists from the promising local scene.
SHOW STRUCTURE:
ROOTS: A true journey to the roots, this section is a time capsule specially made to unveil some essential records that had remained unknown for many.
LANDSCAPES: The most meditative segment of the show, it is open to styles such as ambient, library music or soundtracks. Much more than an acoustic background, this music is able of transmitting powerful emotions.
SHAME: This therapeutic part of the program is about showing some musical guilty pleasures to the audience through uninhibited, boundless musical selections.
