On this episode Escape Pods catches up with a true pioneer of dub reggae: Scientist

Scientist is one of the original creators of dub music, responsible for engineering many of the crucial dub studio techniques in the 1970s that are now used in nearly every musical genre. Scientist was entrusted with the keys to King Tubby’s Dromilly Avenue studio in Kingston, Jamaica and took over the recording and production of many reggae greats including; Barrington Levy, Linval Thompson, Johhny Clarke, The Roots Radics and Augusto Pablo.
Scientist went on to be behind the mixing desk at another legendary Reggae studio - Channel One become embarking on his own highly successful career as a recording artist releasing hundreds of dub records over the decades.
