In this episode of OpenLab Selectors we welcome Ibiza based electronic music artist, broadcaster and record label owner JR Hartley.
James cut his teeth in the north of England writing music and DJing for fun, then in the early 00s, he and a friend decided to form a music act and have been releasing music and DJing around the world since. Whilst playing some of the more notorious venues like Space and DC10 in his house and techno duo, JR Hartley was created as a solo alias to play all of the other music he loves. You can find him in smaller, more underground venues such as Malanga Cafe and Las Dalias Ibiza , playing to his friends, the locals and the more curious visitors.
He’s curated this mix using lots of different styles of music from classical to techno, taking advantage of modern digital technology and different mixing disciplines to connect them together into a single immersive journey.
