Miguel will also be joined by the Opera-pop band Family time. Having been brought into the limelight by virtue of their infamous hotel tour, where they played their self-recorded pop opera to the unsuspecting residents of Spain’s vast hotel scene, Family Time have now resolved to put their long-awaited album “The Great Abismo” out into the world.
Recorded on location in Mallorca, The Great Abismo is an evocative work of opera pop, a cinematic experience which twists and turns along with its hero’s troubled mind—at times gentle, at times frantic, often unsettling. It is an exploration of isolation, where the struggles of man with manhood itself, the wrestling with failed experiences of intimacy and the perturbing ways of loving that follow are all set to the humid backdrop of a decadent holiday resort.
