Hello Everyone! Today, Jim sits down with Tom Mietus, the Athletic Director of Glenbrook South High School, home of the Titans. Tom graduated from Carthage College and earned several master’s degrees from North Park University, NIU, and Northeastern. And ultimately, he found himself back in the suburbs he grew up in. He knew this was where he was meant to be. Starting as an assistant director for the Titans about a decade ago, Tom’s mission has always been to empower students, athletes, and coaches to be their best. Being a former wrestler himself, Tom understands the value of athletics, and preaches the mantra: “Athletes today, athletes for life”. Sit back as we dive into the tactics that Tom uses to create an effective strength program and team culture.
