Jim and friend of the project/recurring guest Hugh Williams sit down with athletes who have transitioned successful careers in athletics into successful careers in business. We get to hear firsthand about how the lessons learned in sports have transferred over into success in the world of business.
Our first guest is former NFL Defensive Back Ryan Mundy. Ryan started his collegiate career at the University of Michigan before transferring to West Virginia University. He finished his final year with 45 tackles, 3 interceptions, and 2 fumble recoveries. Ryan was then drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 6th round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He won a Super Bowl with the Steelers in 2009 then spent a year with the New York Giants before coming to the Chicago Bears, where he finished his career. Today, Ryan is a successful businessman with a number of different successful business ventures including being co-founder of the reusable straw company SWZL.
