Aloha from Hawai’i on the first ever on location recording of LTAS! Steven is joined by guest hosts Amanda Fisher, Sarah Brindley, and Josh Whitmore for a meandering conversation that involves lots of editing (sorry for any abrupt changes) plus a revolving door of extra guests: Matt (35-40), Grant (6), Miles (4), Nolan (2), Shirley, and Dan! That’s the kind of craziness LTAS brings you from a family vacation of 16 people in two houses!
First we revisit the epic showdown of Popkulture Kombat: Oreo VS Chips Ahoy as Amanda’s sprawling family dives into the fight with their favorites. Then we discuss some of the awesome adventures Hawai’i has to offer including the Disney Aulani resort and why every playground should have water, volcano talk with lava bombs, Josh reliving his glory days of living in Kona on the Big Island (shoutout to Lava Java), and older brothers still driving their 30-something siblings around in a minivan - look out Waikiki!
Then over at the Kacey Musgraves concert at The Republik (41:45), we made friends with some locals who helped save our spots, pushed out crappy concert-goers who tried to shove their way in, dealt with mic feedback that made Kacey (and Sarah) unhappy, and we discuss why small venues are better before sending out messages to the lovely Kacey!
