Feb. 18, 2018 - The Sacrament of Confession/Absolution has been given by Christ to His Church as a gift toward the healing of the soul. In Confession Christ covers our sins by His forgiveness, graces us to overcome sin, and washes away the shame from our conscience caused by the sins we have committed. So, then, what keeps us from coming to such a gift. This reflection explores some of the common reasons used that keep us away from this Sacrament while offering encouragement to push through those reasons and come, at the invitation of Christ, to experience the Giver of Life and Mercy.
