There's a dense, blissful beginning to "Fever Drawings" by Peter Prautzsch. It's a thick punch of sound, an introduction with sparks flying. This album is made from many things: Swarming percussion patterns and striving rhythms of sticks, kicks and mallets, anthem like strings, haunting clicks and peaks, hovering drones and melodic artefacts. Peter Prautzsch manages to drift along the ranks and cracks of musical ideas with ease and attitude.
