Description

Producer: Victoria Fayemi. This podcast explores the work of Black Panther Women in the 1970s and 80s. To showcase how they organised to liberate the Black community from social, economic and political state oppression. Whilst placing women gendered related issues on the Black Power agenda. The episode analyses the distorted public image of these revolutionary women. Revealing how they managed to produce new models of black womanhood during the Black Power era, using art and methods of resistance.
