This is my Homecoming Mass Homily linking marriage and the University of Louisiana, and how both are built upon vows.
For many of us, our perfect utopia, also known as a paradise, is a world where love is free. But I would challenge that notion. I don't think that would be a Utopia at all. I think it would be a nightmare. A true utopia is a place where our actions actually have consequences and our vows actually mean something.
