So what topped the news this past week? CANCEL CANADA DAY! In light of the tragic discovery of 215 bodies of indigenous school children underneath a former Kamloops Residential School, "Organizers and activists are calling on the City of Vancouver to “cancel Canada Day” this year" following the footsteps of Victoria cancelling their Canada Day festivities. The word "Cancel" has been THE word of 2021 and you may have heard of the phrase "Cancel Culture." Is this another example of cancel culture? Or is this completely different?
