If your goal was to live a healthy active lifestyle, would you, using a bible term, yoke yourself with someone who does not share the same goal? Someone who would rather sleep in, eat crap and watch YouTube all day? If you want someone to join you so that you can share the load, find encouragement, have someone you can lean on each other, you can’t be yoked with a person who is not on the same page. That’s yoking. To be able to lean on each other to achieve the same goal. When two oxen are yoked together to plough a field, they have to have the same goal, same purpose, same mindset to fulfill their purpose i.e. plough the field. If one doesn’t, then you ain’t ploughing the field buddy, you’re going in circles. As we continue our series on Genesis with chapter 24, Jonathan explains why it's important to find people who are on the same page as you especially if your goal is to acheive your God-given vision.
