This is the story of Kitty Schrott Drill. Born in Austria in 1934, and survived the Holocaust. Kitty and her family were some of the Jews who managed to escape Nazi persecution in Europe and flee to British Mandated Palestine, but were refused entry by the British government in 1940, and subsequently deported and detained on the island of Mauritius, until the end of the Holocaust in 1945. This is her story of survival.
