THE HIGHEST PLACE
(Please listen to the 31ST Episode of the HymnPreaching Podcast inspired by the hymn, ALL HAIL THE POWER OF JESUS NAME)
“This hymn is therefore a call to worship. A call to respectfully rise. A call to reverently bow and a call to unreservedly prostrate yourself before Him who is seated IN THE HIGHEST PLACE. Do not think of your Lord only as a friend so much so that you forget that He is the King seated IN THE HIGHEST PLACE. Do not think of your Saviour only as a father, or a companion, or a helper so much so that you forget that He is the Lord of all lords who is seated IN THE HIGHEST PLACE. “

1. All hail the pow’r of Jesus’ Name!
Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown Him Lord of all!
2. Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race,
Ye ransomed from the fall,
Hail Him Who saves you by His grace,
And crown Him Lord of all!
3. Let every kindred, every tribe,
On this terrestrial ball,
To Him all majesty ascribe,
And crown Him Lord of all!
4. Oh, that with yonder sacred throng
We at His feet may fall!
We’ll join the everlasting song,
And crown Him Lord of all!
