Throwback!: Once upon a time, back in 2004, ya boy was makin’ some beats. I looped a piece of D’Angelo’s “The Root” from the classic “Voodoo” LP. Layered some drum samples and a drum loop, phattened up the low end with a bass patch from Abraham Laboriel (courtesy of the Roland Bass & Drums sound module) and finished it off with smooth keys to accent the melody in the D’Angelo loop. And there you have it, this week’s throwback track from my archives, “Root Cause Analysis”.
